Love Recklessly Interest Meeting
Sunday, April 28 after the service
We have a growing global orphan crisis, including youth right here in our own local community. 9,000 kids are currently in foster care in WA State. We’d like to invite you to join us, the Love Recklessly organization, in discussing how we can help support families impacted by foster care and adoption. Join Mike and Aimee-Harris Fulmer after service as they provide some light lunch and share their heart for churches impacting local foster care and adoption.
Trauma Informed Attachment Training for Foster Care and Adoption.This 5 hour training course will introduces social workers, counselors, and school personnel to the specific ways in which trauma impacts children who have been touched by the foster-care system or adoption. It will addresses attachment struggles provide interventions that are effective and relationship driven. The training draws from neuroscience, ACE’s research, attachment theory and Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI). It also emphasizes the needs for caregivers/educators/professionals to be aware of their own stories/assumptions/triggers in order to best care for children “from hard places.”.
